See, what good can we do if we collectively work together to help?
Below you will see a number of knitted items up for "auction". All made with love by me. I will describe the item and also include the estimated yarn cost which is included in the (). The suggested donation for the item is also listed. Let's be real, if you're short on cash and don't have enough but, love something then just let me know! This is to bring a little joy to our lives and help the two causes I have selected: I Support The Girls and Helping Women Period. Both are committed to providing menstrual products and bras to underserved communities. Specifically, HWP says, "HWP prioritizes the needs of people experiencing relationship violence, who have been denied access to resources due to systemic racism and institutional biases, we direct support to communities of color and organizations that serve BIPOC communities."
Some housekeeping items, you do not need to comment here what your donation for an item will be. You're welcome to email me about it to keep your info private. All items will be hand washed prior to shipping so allow some time for that. I will include care instructions and anything that may be fun to know. All of the proceeds will be donated less 1/4 of the shipping costs (I will pay the rest). Lastly, please remember these are hand made. I am not a machine. There may be minor imperfections with your item but, such is life. (One other thing, I am not profiting from this at all. Selling work based on sold patterns is something frowned upon in the knitting world. This is not what is happening so, have no fear.)
